Located at an altitude of 1,600m above sea level in Northwest Vietnam, Sapa is one of the most famous mountainous towns to visit. This place is surrounded by high hills & mountains and is also home to many ethnic minorities such as Hmong, Dzao, and Tay,... The breathtaking landscape & unique culture make the attractiveness of Sapa town. So, how to get to Sapa Vietnam? There is NO airport, the most popular ways to go here are by train or by bus. In the past, traveling to Sapa by bus was taking a long time and made tourists tired as the way to Sapa was mostly rural road. After building a highway in 2014, getting from Hanoi to Sapa by bus has become much more convenient. If you don’t romanticize badly over traveling by train, take the bus instead! Bus is the fastest way between Hanoi and Sapa, 5-6 hours depending on the traffic. The bus drivers are experienced and the highway is newly built, but be aware that the traffic situation in Vietnam still can be pretty bad.
